We are looking at remodeling our kitchen. How the heck do we get started?
This is the top question asked. We are very fortunate to work with one of the best vendors in the Austin area. At Fine Line we would be responsible for everything but the cabinets and countertops. The best step forward would be to reach out to UB Kitchens and get with one of there very experienced designers. They will provide you with renderings for the new design so you can get we can get an idea of design and layout.
Do you work with any cabinet companies other then UB Kitchens?
Although there are many options around, we exclusively work with UB Kitchens. We are not directly affiliated with UB Kitchens but we are one of their preferred contractors. Working with them has proven to be a more seamless process and prevents any delays in the completion of your project. We strive to keep the quality of work and craftsmanship top notch and we have found the UB Kitchens stand up to our high standards.
How long does it take from start to finish on a kitchen remodel?
We understand the extent of a full kitchen remodel and the toll it can take on a household to be without a kitchen. Of course everything depends on the scope of work but we try to work a complete remodel in 6-8 weeks. Working with the “Dream Team”, (UB Kitchens, Fine Line Remodeling and GNS Custom Stoneworks) is the key to get this done. We all coordinate our schedules and have constant communication with each other behind the scenes to make sure everything is done and done right on time!
Ok, we are soooo ready to get this kitchen tore out and get a new one. How soon can we get started?
We know you are anxious to get the ball rolling but keep in mind that there is quite a bit of planning involved. Finalizing the cabinet order, approving an estimate with us and ordering of appliances are just the very beginning stages of the process. These items will give us an idea of when we can get started. Some of these items might take a little longer so please understand that start date of your project.could be months away. Trust us though, you want this time to make sure you have everything ready and you are prepared.
I love my kitchen but I have the original backsplash and cabinets. Can you guys replace the backsplash and paint the cabinetry?
Sadly, we do not. We are more efficient and skilled at doing full, down the studs remodels. No facelifts, more of a full transformation remodel.
